The property has maybe 15 rooms, but they are all remodeled and the remodel was done SO WELL! 1. Plenty of parking in front and in back. 2. The room I had was a great size with 2 queen-sized beds. The most comfortable bed I’ve encountered in a hotel in ages. Soft and comfortable without being too soft with a loose topper. The pillows were amazing. You get 3 per bed and they are luxurious. Beside each bed was a small shelf with 2 AC plugs and 2 USB outlets and a light switch/dimmer above the outlets. I slept amazing here. 3. There was a large screen TV on the wall with Cox Cable and below it was a long counter with a single-serving Keurig, a microwave, and a small refrigerator with a separate freezer door. There was also a hanging rod to the right of the shelf and a small cabinet. 4. There was a safe, but it was very shallow, and I did not use it. 5. The back of the room had an AC unit in the top left corner, a long counter below it and a single sink. On the wall was dispensers for lotion and soap. (no miniature single use). 6. The bathroom was a good size with a small window for ventilation above the toilet and a really great-sized shower. 7. The shower had a wand on one end and a ceiling drop on the other. The water was very hot with excellent water pressure. Very comfortable. Again, wall dispensers available and full for conditioner, shampoo, and soap. 8. There was ample lighting in the ceiling everywhere. 9. The AC unit control box was on the wall and looked to be a newer unit. The AC worked silently and perfectly. It kept the humidity low and the temperature at a perfect level. 10 Finally the window on the street side has a great 2-piece shade that blocked all the light.

Lovely hotel! I stayed two nights in mid-May. Because I was waiting for my son to come home from deployment, I wanted a hotel close to the Camp Pendleton San Mateo gate. And, because I wouldn’t know until he actually landed somewhere what time he’d be showing up, I didn’t want to wander far from my hotel. So I was in the room a lot. Check in was fast and easy, and the folks at the front desk were just as nice as could be. I had a king room, which included a sleeper sofa and a gorgeous walk in shower! The room was spotless. It included a small refrigerator with freezer, microwave, hair dryer, and a Keurig coffee maker! The bed was wonderful. FOUR big soft pillows, a fluffy comforter, and pillow-top mattress. The air conditioner was a bit loud, but it didn’t keep me from sleeping at all. I would definitely stay here again!

The location was perfect for this trip. My client was just up the hill at the closest intersection and we were less than 2 miles away so it was perfect. I also liked the renovations that had been done to our room. The vanity area was separate from the lavatory and shower area, which was perfect, and everything was new and modern and updated. There were plenty of hooks for towels, toiletries, and clothes (which was a nice touch that I don't see at all hotels--even fancy ones) and there were even two seating areas (besides the beds) in the room--an office chair and a bench. I also really liked having the microwave and minifridge in the room. This property suited our needs for this trip perfectly!

Everything! The rooms are like brand new. Nice finishings! Comfy bed. Super close to the Life Time Resort, and Tennis, Pickleball! We stayed for the PPA Tourney.
